I was born and raised on the westside of Los Angeles and captained championship teams before I ever managed a construction site — a discipline I carried from the football field at Loyola High School to the volleyball court at Harvard College. My studies took me from the classroom and into the field: research trips through Central American jungles conducting excavations for my Magna Cum Laude senior thesis in Archaeology. It is there that I studied the physical patterns and forms of Mayan structures to ascertain their meaning and place. That instinct — to read how form and the sense of place inform meaning in our lives — has shaped my vision ever since. 

After beginning my career in commercial real estate development, I spent the past 20 years building and shaping DCO Construction into the boutique practice it is today. It is defined by its three pillars — limited volume, in-house execution, and end-to-end command of the process. I intentionally limit the number of projects I take on at once. My attention on your project is never divided. This restraint allows me to devote the kind of principal-level oversight that is key to superior execution and precise construction. I’ve built significant in-house capabilities across key trades, a differentiator few peers can match, meaning your project is built primarily by my own team, not subcontractors. And because I’ve worked as a licensed broker, developer, and general contractor across real estate, capital markets, entitlement, and construction, I bring a rare, unified perspective to decisions that most projects split across separate parties, guiding every project from concept through final walkthrough. 

What matters most, though, is that I care deeply about the work — and about the people in it. It isn’t just the finished product, but how we get there: the quality of my relationships with clients, with my crew, with everyone who touches a project. Every job is a reflection of that commitment, because every project is an investment of my life. That finite, precious resource is why my work is so important to me. It drives my passion for the process, and my pride in the results. It is the joy I have in doing what I love — creating beautiful places that have meaning in people’s lives.
